TL;DR: Mewron Timers stores everything on your device. There are no ads, no analytics, no accounts, and we have no server that receives your data. The only thing that ever leaves your phone is your voice, when you choose voice input: it goes to your phone's speech-recognition service, not to us. Purchases are handled entirely by Google Play.

1. Who we are

Mewron Timers is published by ChronoCat Labs. Contact: hello@chronocatlabs.com. App package: com.chronocatlabs.mewrontimers.

2. What we collect from you

Nothing. The app has no advertising, analytics, telemetry, crash reporting or remote logging, and no user accounts. We don't know who installed the app, when you opened it, or what timers you ran.

Everything the app needs to work — your timers, scenarios, presets, focus history and statistics, streak, achievements, the cat and its accessories, postcards, fish balance, settings and onboarding state — is stored locally on your device using Android's AsyncStorage. The app also keeps a small log of in-app events (for example "timer started") on the device for its own statistics. None of this is uploaded anywhere.

3. Permissions

The app uses these Android permissions:

RECORD_AUDIO

Only for the optional "Speak it" voice entry in the launch menu. The microphone is open only while the recording overlay (the red mic) is on screen. The app does not store the audio and does not send it to us — see Section 4.

POST_NOTIFICATIONS

To tell you when a timer or a scenario step finishes. Notifications are created on the device and contain only the timer's title and time.

SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM and RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED

So a timer rings at exactly the right second even when the app is closed, and so pending timers are re-armed after your phone restarts.

VIBRATE and MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS

For the completion sound and vibration of your chosen sound pack.

BILLING and INTERNET

To buy Premium through Google Play, and to open links you tap (such as our website or a shared scenario). The app itself sends no data of its own over the internet.

4. Third parties

Speech recognition (voice input)

Voice input uses Android's built-in SpeechRecognizer, which on most devices is provided by Google. When you tap "Speak it", what you say is sent to that service for transcription, and only the text comes back to the app. That audio is governed by the provider's privacy policy — for Google, policies.google.com/privacy. The app keeps nothing but the final text, which it reads on the device to set up the timer. If you never tap the voice entry, no audio is ever recorded.

Google Play

The app is distributed through Google Play, and the one-time Premium purchase is processed by Google Play Billing. We never see your payment details. Google may collect standard Play statistics (installs, crashes if you opted in); we receive only aggregated, anonymous figures in the Play Console.

No advertising

Since version 1.4.0 the app contains no advertising and no advertising SDK. Versions up to 1.3.1 offered optional reward videos in the in-app shop through Appodeal, which processed the advertising ID and basic device data to serve them; that code was removed completely in 1.4.0. If you still have an older version, updating removes it.

Shared links

When you share a scenario or a preset, the link carries it after the # sign. Browsers never send that part to a web server, so we don't receive what you share.

5. Children

Mewron Timers is made for everyone, children included — it has a Kid mode with larger buttons and confirmations. For every user, whatever their age:

If you are a parent and have any question about your child's use of the app, write to hello@chronocatlabs.com.

6. Your rights and choices

7. Changes to this policy

If we change anything material in this policy — for example, adding cloud sync — we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and mention it in the next release notes on Google Play.

8. Contact
